This significantly reduces your out-of-pocket cost.

Antenatal (Pregnancy) Care

Medicare rebates are available for antenatal midwifery consultations during pregnancy.

Services include:

  • Antenatal education and preparation

  • Breastfeeding education and preparation

  • Birth planning support

  • Pregnancy health checks

  • Bulk billed phone consults - nothing to pay

Postnatal Care (After Birth)

Services include:

  • Comprehensive IBCLC lactation assessment and support

  • Postnatal midwifery care (Medicare rebatable)

  • Evidence-based treatment plan

  • Check in and follow up support

  • Birth debrief

  • Bulk billed phone consults - nothing to pay

The midwifery portion is bulk billed through Medicare - you only pay the gap.

Antenatal Appointment

  • Total fee: $280

  • Medicare rebate : $73.75

  • You pay: $206.25

Clinic Initial Appointment

  • Total fee: $380

  • Medicare rebate: $162.60 (baby 0-6 weeks) OR $53 (baby 7-8 weeks)

  • You pay: $217.40 - $327

Home Visit

  • Total fee: $450

  • Medicare rebate: $162.60 (baby 0-6 weeks) OR $53 (baby 7-8 weeks)

  • You pay: $287.40 - $397

Phone Consult

  • 100% Bulk billed (antenatal or baby 0-7weeks)

  • You pay $0
